Sheba (Saba’)
Verses 24-27 GROUP_1117 34.24-27
24
قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّا أَوْ إِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلَى هُدًى أَوْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ
Ask them, ‘Who provides sustenance for you from the heavens and the earth?’ Say, ‘It is God’; either you or we are rightly guided or in manifest error.’
25
قُل لَّا تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا أَجْرَمْنَا وَلَا نُسْأَلُ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
Say to them, ‘You will not be called to account for our sins and we shall not be called to account for what you do.’
26
قُلْ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا رَبُّنَا ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَهُوَ الْفَتَّاحُ الْعَلِيمُ
Tell them, ‘Our Lord will gather us together; then He will judge between us with truth and justice. He is the Just Decider, the All Knowing.’
27
قُلْ أَرُونِي الَّذِينَ أَلْحَقْتُم بِهِ شُرَكَاء كَلَّا بَلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Say to them, ‘Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners. No indeed! For He alone is God, the Mighty One, the Wise One.’

Commentary
(a) The Universe is unimaginably great. Moreover, perfect wisdom and meaningfulness is inherent in it. Such a universe can be the accomplishment of the All-powerful, All-wise God alone. No one can seriously believe that those beings, whom ancient or modern man has invented can be the creators or lords of this universe. This being so, who other than God can be the one who enjoys the position of supremacy in this Universe? The fact is that the study of the universe invalidates all polytheistic theories. As such, only that theory can be correct which is based on the oneness of God. Any theory which projects the instrumentality of any being other than God is self- contradictory.
